Journal 4759 Pharast 28th

We arrived back in Lepidistadt after 1 in the morning. We went straight to see Adivion Adrissant to discuss what we found. He was very please in what we found and he wanted to talk to us before the trail and to meet him after breakfast. We only got a short rest Gregor and Adivion Adrissant talked on what they wanted to do in the trail. We then left for the trail the prosecutor talk for a long time it was after lunch when Andivion and Gregor started. When they gave Wretch the fine silver surgical instruments what was agreed were the tools used. He accidently destroyed them just trying to handle how they should be used. We won the first case but the people did not like what we were doing to help Wrench. We are now off to the place to find evidence for the second trail. We got ready and headed out to Hergtag to the scene where Wretch is accused of murdering ten children. We were able to travel on the road making good time. The land around the village was all over grown and the houses with windows broken with chairs and dishes out in the yards. The people left everything behind like they were all threaten to leave quickly. We came across one house hearing a child voice coming from the upstairs. When we went upstairs we found a ghost child and when we started to talk to him he attacked us. We were not able to kill it but hurt it seriously when it fled the room. Hadhod tried to go thru the roof to follow but failed. Gregor and I went down the stairs and found it flying to another house. We started to chase it and it then changed direction. We continue on to the house the ghost initially was headed. When we entered he found another child and this time we tried to talk to jer. We got some information about Brother Swarm but the ghost wanted to touch us. We attacked and killed this one before she could leave. He decided we needed to find other ghost and try to talk to them. We saw the first ghost that fled now had another ghost with it going to another house. We found another ghost child in the house and got more information about the children throwing things thru the window then we attacked the ghost when we felt it could give us no more information and destroyed it. We check a few more houses and found no more ghosts. So, we went to the last house we saw the ghost fleeing, too. When we got there we found four ghost children. Gregor tried to talk to them and only one listen and started to cry when he mention Wretch name. The other three attacked us and they touched Hadhod so he could not be healed before we were able kill them. Once we did we got more information from Ellsa. She told us that Wretch tried to save her but could not hurt something that looked like Brother Swarm but she kept saying it was not Brother Swarm. She did tell us on how Wretch cry sounded like someone laughing. She also told us about the sister and they lost a nephew. After we got all the information we could get from her we than put Ellsa to rest by destroying the ghost spirit. Just as we were leaving the house we heard the howls of Brother Swarm. Brother Swarm attacked us and created and controlled a swarm of wasps around him. We would not enter the swarm but attacked him with missile fire. Brother Swarm did not hurt us to bad and we were able to kill him without getting close to him and the swarm of wasps. We then search the town and found a body in a hollow tree that looked like he was covered with honey on his cloths to attract wasps. We found dead wasps trapped in the folds of his cloths and inside his cloths. This body looks like the remains of Brother Swarm. We took the remains of the body with us. We found out that Brother Swarm was the person who killed child before Wretch was there and that one of the child was the sister nephew. They were the ones who killed Brother Swarm. Gregor got the dates off from the grave stone along with the village record book of deaths we found. We also found a burnt out cabin and a burnt poetry book. We took all the information we found back to Lepidistadt. We got back to get a good night rest and got Hadhod curse removed so he could be fully healed.

Journal 4759 Pharast 27th

We started the investigation into the stolen seastone statue here in the city. We found an old woman who gave us the name of Auren Vrood. He could be the one who would want that statue. The charges were given and Adrissant gave us our orders where to go. We headed out to the village of Morast for the first charge. On our way we ran into some traveling show known as the Crooked Kin. They ask us for our help to find a girl named Aleece. We agreed along with one of the man from the show. We came upon a large spider which attacked us biting the man. The man died from the spider bit. We killed the spider and found the girl Aleece dead. We took both bodies back to the show group and Gregor performed the burial. We arrived after supper into the village of Morast. Few people were around to talk too. We did find one villager to talk to, a village elder named Lazne. We talk to him about the Beast of Lepidstadt which leaded us to check out a nearby island. Lazne agreed to boat us over to the island to check out his story. We found a pair of manticores on the island and they attacked us. This was becoming a tough fight because they were flying above us and we had little miss fire to hit them with. We did little damage to them until Gregor somehow was able to force them to land so we could fight them on the ground. Once he did they were not as tough to defeat because we could then surround it to kill them quickly. Searching the island we found a camp and a boat that contained evidence that Wretch was not the one attacking the villagers. We got back in the boat and had Lazne take us back to the village of Morast. We then headed back to Lepidistatd with the evidence.

Journal entry 4759 Pharast 18th thru 26th

Journal 4759 Pharast 18th We woke up later than normal finding that Hadhod was missing. I track him to a dryad tree where Gregor wanted to cut the tree to see if he could free Hadhod. I was able to stop him and say we must wait. We waited all day and now it is night with no Hadhod yet. Journal 4759 Pharast 19th The dryad released Hadhod and we continue our travels on to Tamriven in Ustalav. Journal 4759 Pharast 22nd Kendra finally arrived just outside of Tamrivena and she had a huge cloak for Grim. Kendra had to make some alterations to the cloak before we could leave for Lepidistadt. Journal 4759 Pharast 25th We have made it to Lepidistadt and have turned the creature Grim over to the authorities. Gregor ask me to watch over Grim to cast protection from evil if he begins to look troubled. Gregor went to talk to the authorities and to also return the books he promised to do. Journal 4759 Pharast 26th While we waited for the formal charges to be given against Grim Gregor remember that his half brother Adrissant could defend Grim and he believe he was in the city, too. After much talk Adrissant agreed to defend Grim but we had to do his investigator work against the charges. Not sure what or how we do this but this made Gregor happy and sure Grim would be set free soon.

Journal Entry 4759 Pharast 17th

I was just getting to Ravengro when I spotted a strange creature just before midnight on the 16th. It fit the descriptions the border guards gave me about a beast of Lepistadt. I ran from it and got into Ravengro just after midnight. When I arrived I meet with Gregor and told him what I saw. Then a messenger arrived telling us everyone should arm themselves a monster is loose. We were also told that a huge reward will be given if capture alive. Since we knew where it just was it was a good bet we could find it before the hunters. We were able to locate the beast and corner him. Gregor and Hadhod trying to subdue it Hadhod went down. I was doing real damage with fire as Gregor used his pummel to knock it out finally. We were able to tie it up and help Hadhod with his wounds. We found out the creature appeared to have give up because it did not kill Hadhod when it could of. We sent for the leader of the mod so we could collect the reward but he just wanted it killed running to get the hunter to kill it. So, we went back into the woods and will rendezvous with Kendra in Tamrivena. She is to get supplies, a wagon and a huge cloak to hide this creature hideous appearance. We are taking the creature back and will try and help him earn his freedom.

Journal Entry 4759 Pharast 14th

After being on foot for two days I got a break and Hadhod dire wolf Grim found me. I was ready to befriend it again when it charge me waging it tail. It seemed Grim was just as happy to see me I was to see him. I gave him some good berries and he allowed me to ride him back to Ravengro.

Journal Entry 4759 Pharast 12th

Just a few more days of hard riding I would of be back. But I ran into bandits who shot my mount from me. I was able to kill them before they got to me. This left me in a long walk to Ravengro and over loaded with my coin to pay back the temple.

Journal Entry 4759 Pharast 4th

Ulfgar arrived and gave me a message to deliver to Hadhod that he had been accepted into the 9th Battalion. It is a huge honor which he has postponed until the Princess Solvanna has a new bodyguard. I said my goodbyes and left to go back to Ravengro
