Journal 4759 Neth 16th thru Kuthona 1st - Kendra Flight

Journal 4759 Neth 16th – I arrived back in Solvania just before dusk. I was told to see Kendra because she was very sick. When I went up to her room to see her she was pale but had the red eyes like the vampires we fought before. She told me this riddle I was to give to Gregor. What should be the punishment for a person who kills a helpless person/innocent which creates an unquiet/uninvited dead? Then she asked me either to tell her to leave or to fight? I knew if I had help I could defeat her but by myself I was not sure so I let her leave. She told me she was glad it was me who came first because she knew I would not fight her. So, Kendra left the keep and I went to talk to the queen. I first told the queen about Kendra becoming a vampire. Then I told her about the treaty with the centaur and the people at Varnhold. The queen then told me to stay at her side until Gregor returned. I did not want to but could not refuse her. Journal 4759 Neth 20th – No word about the tournament or when they are coming back. I wish I did not have to be at the queen side all the time it is quite boring. I wanted to get out and help the tree’s to grow but that will have to wait. I did get the treasure counted. Journal 4759 Neth 22th – I was able to talk someone to buy supplies for me it cost me a little more than I was expecting but that was okay they probably never had so many silver and copper coins before. They also were able to sell a few of our items we pick up, too. Still no word when my friend’s will return to Solvania. Journal 4759 Neth 23rd – Gregor, Erik and Declin return with the trophy from the Rushlight Tournament. I told them about Kendra becoming a Vampire. Later they told me the story of the Rushlight Tournament. There was an event each day and seven events are drawn at the beginning of the Tournament by King Irovetti. The first event on Neth 8th was Archery won by an elfin maiden who won easily. Declin enter the event but came in third only because he noticed too late that the second place winner cheated. The next day event was the Midnight Joust and it really did starting at Midnight that night. Gregor enter this event and had to get roaring drunk before jousting. This event is by far the crowd favourite event. Gregor did well and made it to the finals against an unarmored Kellid barbarian that was crushing everyone he faced. It came down to Gregor and the Kellid barbarian and only because of Gregor armor and the barbarian lack of armor was why Gregor won. Declin said it got embracing at the end because they had miss like thirty times before Gregor finally got him off his horse. Neth 10th was the Foot Tilt event. Both Gregor and Eric entered this event and it came down to the last four combat and Gregor and Eric were match against each other. To the crowd dislike Gregor forfeit to Eric. Eric had to face a deadly gladiator next who just tore apart a Troll. Eric fought better than the troll but was still defeated by the Gladiator who went on to win the last match by beating another troll. On Neth 11th was Declin Dagger Throwing event. Declin impressed everyone on the art of throwing daggers and won the events hands down getting two bull’s-eyes on the blue target and finish with a trick shot hitting the blue target which even beat the score from the archery event. Declin told me the crowd started calling him Rabbit short for the rabbit prince which is what they called the event. Then on Neth 12th was the Bragging event which Declin tried because no else from Solvannia wanted to enter the event. He did good to start but finished poorly telling his story. He lost the event but he tried. On Neth 13th was the wrestling event with only two contestants Erik and a metal box creature called 52. It been the champs for several years because the crowd believe no one could defeat it. In the beginning it looked like Eric was going to lose then all of a sudden Eric toss 52 to the ground. When 52 was getting back up Eric toss 52 to the ground again. After a few more throws 52 began to spark and then stopped moving which able Eric to tear off it arms and legs defeating the champ to become the new champ of the wrestling event. The last event was on Neth 14th was the Log Chopping event which Eric enter but was out class but did finish a close third. The next day they were awarded the trophy and rod for Solvania for winning three of the seven events. Journal 4759 Neth 24th – Declin and Gregor look for clues on how a Vampire got in. Gregor told us they can only come in if they are invited. So, someone in the castle had to invite it in. After looking around they found an ash foot print on the floor. This told them the vampire came in through the chimney. Then asking all the staff they found a maid who the vampire threaten to kill her children if she did not invite him to go down the chimney into the castle. She did not know what the vampire had planned and did not mean for Kendra to be made a vampire. The queen was so upset with her she told the maid to leave the service of the castle this moment. I gave her 1,000 copper pieces from my share of the treasure which should take care of her for a year or two. Gregor and Declin helped her get work in the village. Journal 4759 Neth 25th – As Gregor was sending out messengers to find out if the vampire attacked other villages. I planted trees and used my plant growth spell to help them grow. Grim was happy to run and catch his own food. Journal 4759 Neth 26th – Now, we wait for a return answer from the messengers that where sent out. I checked my supplies and will go out and use my plant growth spell on the forest until we decide what to do next. I’m also looking to see if I can find a way back into the fey realm so I can know how to get back to the sphinx when I need to go back in time, besides going back to that tomb. Journal 4759 Neth 30th – A message came back about the family we fought was missing. Along with a couple of other people have been reported missing from different villages. Gregor wants to go after them. Journal 4759 Kuthona 1st – Gregor seek his god for answer on what we should do and it looks like we will be going back to Ustalav to talk with Adivion Adrissant. We prepare to leave tomorrow.
