Journal 4759 Neth 1st thru 15th - Conflict with Nomen Heights and the Centaurs
Journal 4759 Neth 1st – I left the group to travel on to Nomen Heights with two Solvania guards. Gregor, Erik and Declin headed off to Pitax for the Rushlight Tournament.
Journal 4759 Neth 4th – We came upon a strong hold named Varnhold and it is under siege by the centaurs, who are starving the people out. I believe the Solvannia guards would not be of any help with negotiations at this point so I sent them back to Solvannia to info the Queen what I’m doing.
Journal 4759 Neth 5th - I went up to one of the centaurs on guard asking them if I can speak with their leader, I told them I was on Evindra busy. They let me pass and I got to talk to the leader. He told me that they were finish talking to the humans about trespassing on their lands. He also showed me the area of their lands and wanted them to pay a copper piece for each animal that grazed on their lands for a day. He gave me permission to go into Varnhold and talk with them.
Journal 4759 Neth 6th - I went in to Varnhold and it was bad all the people are starving to death. I got to meet with the leader and he used to be a very big man and now is a shell of a man. After talking a while he gave me this counter offer to take back to the centaurs. It was that they would pay a copper piece per animal for 10 days in their lands. When I left I gave the leader a good berry to help him but he has not eaten for so long it just made him sick. I took the counter offer back to the centaur. They would except if they would know when they paid that is why he did a day. He agreed when I show him how to count the days of the year putting it on a flower using the druid craft cantrip.
Journal 4759 Neth 7th – I went back into Varnhold and gave the people my iron rations and I told the leader the centaur accepted the offer. I also told them how they would tell how long they were in the centaur land. The centaur would use a druid craft cantrip and give it to the people it would have a number on it. They would have nine days after that number to be in the lands or would have to leave or pay again. They would also be given a second flower with the number of animal they paid for. If they lose either one of the flowers then they would have to pay again.
Jourmal 4759 Neth 8th – I began to teach the centaurs how to count. Then, teach them how to count the days of the year and what the maximum number to go up to before starting over. I also taught them how to use druid craft to put that number on a flower so it would show the day they came into the land and the number of animals that were paid for. If it was older than 10 days they would have to pay again or leave. Since we are close to a new year I work with them what today is and when to start back over to one when the new year begun.
Journal 4759 Neth 10th – The centaurs are beginning to understand how to count another day or two they will have it and be able to teach the others. Food is coming back into Varnhold. Some of the people are leaving back to their homes others are not sure what to do because their homes are in the centaurs land now and can’t afford the price.
Journal 4759 Neth 14th – The Centaurs have it they are counting and understand the calendar dates. Next, taught the centaurs the use of the druid craft cantrip on how to create a flower.
Journal 4759 Neth 15th – The centaur were happy with the offer and heading back to their lands. The humans were not pleased but it was better than death. I’m headed back to Solvania.
