Journal Entry 4759 Calistril 10th

We were woken by people yelling and this time the rune for the letter S appeared on the town hall door instead of the statue. Gregor then took us to the plaque on the Harrowstone Memorial Statue where the names of the people who died in the fire at the Harrowstone Prison. The Warden wife’s name Vesorianna was on that plaque. Gregor figure out that the Splatterman wrote out his victim names before killing them. So, we will rest up and go search the Harrowstone Prison for more clues. Gregor went to talk to Father Grimburrow for help investigating the Harrowstone. We arrived at the Harrowstone in late afternoon. Father Grimburrow and Hadhod explored the grounds first. They encounter an animated executioner and defeated him and brought it scythe to us. Then attempted to climb the east side Hadhod encounter a strange plant which turned out to be a strangle vine. I was able to save a cutting of the plant to transplant. Hadhod told us he heard a flute playing on the second floor and that we should go in. The whole group entered the Harrowstone going thru the front door. We went straight in the main entrance and then into a hallway which lead us into the infirmary where we encounter a spirit patient which we defeated. Then we took the door to the far right. This leaded us to a room that the outside wall has collapsed and water had come in. Looking at the furnace which was haunted attacked us and Kendra used her cold magic on it to destroy the evil spirit. We then took the only door available to us lead us to a training room with an elevator shaft and as I was checking it out I kicked a skull which fell down the shaft causing seven shadows to appear. They were all around us and did not look good. Lauren was the first one to die when touched by a shadow and Kendra was severely wounded and ran away to save herself. Father Grimburow destroyed six out of the seven shadows letting the rest of us destroy the last shadow. I went over to Lauren to see if I could save him but it was already too late. I went thru his pack to take the healing potions I gave him and gave Kendra the magic missile wand. Hadhod noticed a strange like wrist wand and he put it on his wrist and then he could not get it off. He found buttons and started pressing buttons causing fire to shot out at his face. Then he found one that took it off. He should of left it off. But, he put it back on and played with the other buttons and then it started beeping. He then took it off and threw it into the water. A few moments later it then blew up destroying the item. Gregor pick up Lauren saying we need to bury him. We then took the only door out which lead us through a room which had a stage and benches. It got cold and we just left the room which lead us back to the main entrance. Gregor left Lauren body here when we decided to check out the last door on the right side of the entrance room. This leaded us down a hallway to room. Hadhod found a secret panel and in it found items that belonged to the ones we are after. We took the items and before leaving we open the door to the cold room and attacked it with fire thinking we destroyed that spirit, too. Then we left picking up Lauren body to take him to the temple before returning home. On the way to the temple a shadow came out of Lauren body and attacked us. Sense it was only one we destroyed it quickly. Father Grimburow said he should of remember that anyone killed by a shadow becomes one. We left Lauren body at the temple and took his stuff and headed back to Kendra house for rest. Before going to bed I transplanted the strangle vine into a pot.
